Number Forty-Two: The Scoop on Hershel

For those of you who have kept up with the various seasons of the show, it is hard to forget the moral-compass of the crew, Hershel. The actor for this character has been in the business since as early as 1967. You can see a much younger and rather handsome Hershel in the classic film In the Heat of the Night.

Number Forty-One: The Shocking Statistics

In this post-apocalyptic world, Rick’s crew are up against some intimidating odds. Writers of the show claim that for every survivor of the disease, there are approximately 5,000 zombies.

Number Forty: The Walking Dead Frightens Civilians

During the shooting of season one, the event of filming raised a few eyebrows. During a scene in which Merle shoots a sniper off of a roof, the gunfire actually alerted some unknowing citizens who called the event in to the local police station. Unfortunately, the set had to deal with the arrival of the SWAT team.

Since the early seasons of the show, the design crew for the walkers have been working effortlessly to create the most gruesome and realistic monsters. Over the years, the designs for the walkers have altered with time. Throughout the seasons, you can watch them deteriorate and become more pale with age.

If you have ever wonder what the zombie actors are really gnawing on as they dine on “human flesh”, we can gladly tell you that it isn’t really man-meat. In fact, it is just ham. Initially, the snack was covered in BBQ sauce to help add a little spice to the meal, but this caused problems with their makeup.
