Top 10 Dumbest Criminals of All Time (Part 2)

Welcome to part two of the 10 dumbest criminals of all time. In part one, you read about how six criminals and their master plans backfired. Here we conclude our list with the top five.

Number Five: One of the Dumbest Criminals – Krystian Bala

Polish author Krystian Bala loved to write murder mysteries. In 2003, his novel Amok became a bestseller. Everything was perfect until the local authorities realized the similarities of the murder in his book to an unsolved crime that happened in 2000. He even laid out all the details in black and white including the motive. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Number Four: Andrew Libby

Andrew liked pornographic movies. So much so that he impersonated a cop and visited his local Movie/ DVD shop.  He proceeded to tell the clerks that he needed to watch the movies to verify the actresses were over 18. Unfortunately, for him, the clerks didn’t fall for it. They called the real cops who didn’t take impersonating an officer lightly.

Number Three: Victor Marin

Victor Marin figured he got away with it when he broke into an apartment to steal cash. He was thrilled when he found $218 in a tenant’s wallet, so excited he took his wallet out of his pocket and left it on the bed. He fled the scene and then remembered he left his wallet behind in the apartment. By then the tenant was back home. He pleaded with the tenant to give him this wallet. The tenant told him to put it under the door which he did, just in time for the police to catch him in the act

Number Two: Eloise Reaves

Eloise felt cheated. She wanted to find a police officer and have justice served. Ellis claimed that she was sold bad crack. She then proved it to the police officer by pulling it from under her tongue and showing it to him. Eloise did not get a refund.

Number One: Henry Earl

The award for dumbest criminal goes to…Henry Earl. Since 1970, he’s been arrested over 1,330 times for petty crimes. He has served no more than four days per offense and continues to add to his numbers yearly.
