The “Orcutt House” in Worthington, Ohio was designed by Theodroe Van Fossen in 1958. It is more affectionately known as “The Round House” for obvious reasons…

The Round House is currently listed for sale at $749,900. It has 3 bedrooms and 2.1 bathrooms in 1,949 square feet. (“2.1 bathrooms” ??)

Round walls, round patio slabs (I used to have some of those at my last house which was built the same year as this one – 1958!)

Round, round, round – as far as the eye can see…

Circular kitchen with round center island…

And I’m guessing this tiny room (below) is the “.1” of a bathroom that the listing mentions:

Good Lord! That’s a creative use of space if I’ve ever seen one!

The round bedroom is a lot more spacious:

This house is just so sociable – I can envision the soirees it has hosted over the years…

Even though there is an abundance of roundness in this home, I don’t think it is overpowering. Every room on the interior is full of rectangular brick and tile – so there are a lot of straight edges in this round home. The angular brick and tile-work seem to balance out the larger circular patterns.

Even the patio is nicely balanced:

Wishing you a balanced day!

(because nobody wants to be too round… or too square)  😉
