That’s BEADLES – not Beatles.

This 1952 Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired house was designed by Ingraham and Ingraham. The home is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and it is currently for sale.

Have a look at this magnificent mid-century modern specimen…

Long and low and loaded with redwood, brick and glass, the Beadles House is listed at $439,000.

How about that? A hanging metal fireplace “skirt” – haven’t seen one of those in a while!

The white carpet is glaring and distracting to me, but I bet there is some fabulous mid-century flooring under there – like cork or hardwoods!

This 2,200 square foot house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms PLUS a separate 1-bedroom guesthouse.

Mitered window corners connect interior and outdoor spaces, allowing a more intimate experience with nature. Brick fireplaces, carved beams, tiled mosaics and Japanese design elements add texture.

The realtor’s write-up is wonderfully descriptive and it makes me even more enthusiastic about this mid-century home…

Hidden closets and clever built-in cabinets provide ample storage while remaining unobtrusive. Vertical elements, like the huge floor to ceiling windows, provide a contrast to the horizontal planes throughout the home. Large, eye-level windows in the bedrooms allow soothing views of the shade gardens and picnic areas which grace the property.

Interesting mosaic tile backsplash in the kitchen. This house may seem outdated to some, but for mid-century modern enthusiasts, this home is like a time-capsule!

The outdoor space is probably just as much a selling point as the untouched interior. Lush and spacious, it would be easy to mistake this yard for one in the Pacific Northwest, rather than the arid, high-altitude climate of Colorado…

The brick courtyard and gardens were designed to mirror the low-lying architecture of the home.
