Suits: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)



Suits is an American TV series that began in 2011. The comedy/drama features a highly intelligent college dropout Mike Ross, who ends up working with one of the most prestigious lawyers in the city. Here is part one of our list of little known facts about the show.

Number Fifteen: Suits Had a Different Name at First

It wasn’t always known by the same name. It was originally titled A Legal Mind. Apparently they decided that Suits is a much catchier name for the show.

Number Fourteen: Meghan Markle Loves Cooking in Real Life

Rachel Zane, the character this actress portrays on the show, is a foodie because the actress loves to cook. She also enjoyed traveling and has visited Vietnam, New Zealand, and Croatia.

Number Thirteen: Patrick J. Adams’ Photography is in the Show

You might have noticed some of the photographs hanging in the office of paralegal Rachel. This is actually the real life art of Patrick J. Adams. The Canadian star has a passion for photography and has an instagram account worth looking up.

Number Twelve: An Inspired Scene

There’s a scene in the show where Louis Litt is talking with his assistant Norma. This is inspired from the character Dale Cooper in the popular television show Twin Peaks.

Number Eleven: The Actors have Starred Together Previously

The actress who plays Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) and the actor portraying Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) have appeared in a film together before. This was Horrible Bosses, which came out in 2011.

Number Ten: Some of the Cast Directed Episodes

It turns out some of the cast is multi-talented. Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams were allowed to do some directing for the show. This was in season four with Gabriel directing the 11th episode and Patrick doing the 14th in the season.

Number Nine: Only the Best Clothes are Used

The suits in Suits are created by a prestigious designer named Tom Ford. The character Harvey wears as many as 10 different looks per episode, and the costume designer keeps at least 100 different costumes on set.
