Number Eight: He’s Helped Politicians Monetarily

In 2004, Michael Douglas helped Richard Gephardt in his candidacy for president through endorsement. Although he didn’t win, it was still very nice of him to do so.

Something that a lot of people don’t know about Michael Douglas is the fact he’s friends with Woody Johnson, who happens to own the New York Jets. This has probably gotten him into a lot of free baseball games.

In an interview, he has stated how impressed he is with the city of Chicago. Specifically, he’s said that “Hollywood is hype, New York is talk, Chicago is work.” Good to know, Michael!

Michael Douglas had huge hopes for the film he worked on called Wonder Boys. He wanted and believed it would be critically acclaimed, but it never was.
