James Bond: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)

If there was ever an agent out there who you wanted to be, James Bond would probably top that list. And from his dapper looks to the beautiful women he’s with, how could you not? There is a lot of mystery surrounding Agent 007 though, so in case you wanted to know, here are a few facts for you.

Number Fifteen: James Bond Gets Around, A Lot

From the very beginning, there was no hiding that Bond does his mission well and then rewards himself later. Out of all the movies, he has killed a total of 369 people and slept with 55 women. Not too shabby!

Number Fourteen: The Name Is Pretty Popular

If you had the last name bond and had a son, you could name him something else besides James but that would just not be as cool. That may be why Bond is the 224 most common surname in the United Kingdom and over 1,011 people in the United States are named James Bond.

Number Thirteen: He Likes His Alchohol

Work for anyone can be a bit stressful. That is definitely heightened when you are James Bond. No wonder he has a drink an average of every 10 minutes and 35 seconds in the movies. Daniel Craig is the only 007 to have had more vodka Martinis than on-screen kisses.

Number Twelve: JFK Was A Fan

In his prime, JFK as one classy guy. His love of Bond films may have been used to try and assassinate Fidel Castro and From Russia, With Love was the last movie he saw before he died.

Number Eleven: Some Bonds Had Help In Wardrobe

Each Bond is different, but none has been courageous enough to appear on screen bald. When Sean Connery was in the role, he wore a toupee to cover up his baldness which began at the age of 21.

Number Ten: Bond Was Spoofed

James Bond does not show his funny side very often, but it exists. A good example of this is the 1967 movie OK Connery starring Connery’s brother Neil.

Number Nine: Looking the Part Works

They say that if you look like you belong, you will automatically fit in. This was the case for George Lazenby (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service Bond). He was not an actor, but he went out and bought himself a Rolex, got a new haircut and when he met the movie producer he made up movies he had been in.
