The company recently got together with BraunAbility to create a wheelchair-accessible SUV – the first of its kind. The car is called the BraunAbility MXV and features sliding door technology, removable seats, and an in-floor ramp with the power to be lit up.

Developed for the 2017 Fusion V6 Sport, Ford’s computer-controlled shock absorber system helps to make driving down undeveloped roads as pleasant as possible. According to AAA, U.S. drivers spend about $3 billion every year on pothole damage, and Ford is helping to decrease this number.

Number Four: It’s Helping Consumers Control Their Cars From Their Homes

The company is currently working on technology that will allow consumers to pair their vehicles with smart home products or home automation devices. The company is working with Amazon Echo to integrate its SYNC Connect technology so consumers can control their cars with their voice. The technology will also allow customers to control their lights, home security systems, and garage doors remotely.

Number Three: Share a Lease With Ford Credit Link

If you’re located in Austin, Texas, then you should take advantage of Ford Credit Link, which allows small groups of people to share a vehicle lease. The groups can reserve drive time, keep up with routine maintenance, and communicate with each other through an app and a device that plugs into the shared vehicle.

In 2015, an impressive 60 percent of all police vehicle sales in the United States were Fords. Specifically, many law enforcement officers use the Interceptor Utility and Interceptor Sedan vehicles.
