In the first part of our list, we discussed Drew Barrymore’s bisexuality, her love for roller coasters and her precocious drinking habits. We are back now with seven more exciting little-known facts about the actress!

Number Seven: She Has Several Strange Allergies

Drew Barrymore is allergic to garlic, bee stings, coffee and perfume. Garlic is the worst out of her allergies and requires her to carefully inspect every food item before she consumes it.

Number Six: She Was Meant to Be Sydney Prescott

Drew was offered the main role in the ’90s slasher film Scream. The actress turned it down because she thought it would be more fun to be killed off in the opening sequence.

Number Five: She Directed a Music Video

Drew Barrymore was behind the cameras for the Best Coast’s song “Our Deal.” The song didn’t do so well, but the video was a hit, thanks to its grunge aesthetic and A-list cast: Chloe Moretz, Shailene Woodley, Doland Glover and Alia Shawkat.

Number Four: Drew Barrymore’s Mansion Caught Fire

In 2001, the actress and her then-husband Tom Green saw their Beverly Hills home catch fire. The fire started very early in the morning and it took almost 60 firefighters to extinguish it. Damages were estimated at around $700,000. Oh, and they owe their lives to their dog, who woke them up to warn them!

Number Three: She’s a Beach Boys Fan

The Beach Boys is her all-time favorite band. She appeared in one of their videos, “Rock and Roll to the Rescue”, and sang of their songs in 50 First Dates. Other bands she loves are Coldplay, Daft Punk, The Beatles and Beck.

Number Two: Drew Barrymore’s Classic Letterman Appearance

Barrymore visited the Late Show with David Letterman and surprised the audience by doing something really unexpected: she climbed onto his desk, began dancing and flashed him. She did this because it was his birthday.

Number One: She Introduced Jimmy Fallon to His Wife

Jimmy Fallon and Nancy Juvonen met thanks to Drew Barrymore. Juvonen is the co-owner of Barrymore’s film production company, Flower Films. At the time, Barrymore and Fallon were filming a movie together, and the actress brought Juvonen along on set one day. That’s how Fallon met the love of his life!
