Cork County Ireland cottage for sale

In recognition of the beloved and even controversial Irish holiday (St. Paddy’s Day) I thought I would feature a few houses from the homeland. Ha, ha – yes, I am Canadian, but also Irish by ancestry. Although, my lineage to Ireland dates back further than this 200 year old home!

Of course EVERONE is Irish on St. Patrick’s day, but I can actually trace my genealogy back to the late 1700’s when a guy named Patrick Burns came over to North America from Cork County Ireland. Since that is where my peeps are from (50 times removed!), I thought I would feature a couple of homes for sale in the County Cork.

The first one is this quaint historic cottage set in the southern Irish countryside:

This home is named: Ballymore Villa Cuskinny Cobh

Just rolls off the tongue doesn’t it?

The house is currently for sale for the price of €235,000. I don’t know how that translates in terms of North American dollars… but it seems like a reasonable figure for such a lovely historic property.

Have a look inside:

It’s divine! (And I have the EXACT same washing machine as the one in this kitchen!)

Here is the living room – with his and hers tv’s!

This 200 year-old Irish home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The attic bedrooms upstairs are simple and sweet:

Painted wood floors in the upstairs hallway (reminds me of my house!)…

This home also has a “conservatory” with double doors that open to the garden:

I suppose they can’t technically call it a “sun room” since Ireland has so many rainy days.

Here are the grounds on a sunny day:

The photo (below) shows part of an old stone outbuilding that comes with the property. I’m guessing that it pre-dates the house!
