This beauty (and her 2 mini guest cottages) are located in the town of Edgartown, near Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The trio of house & cottages is currently listed for sale at $3,495,000.

The main house was built in 1895 “for a sea captain’s wife”, according to the listing description. Apparently it is one of Edgartown’s only historic Victorians – which is surprising since Edgartown is a small coastal New England town. Perhaps all the old Victorians have been torn-down and new builds constructed in their place? Or… maybe most of the vintage homes pre-date the Victorian era?

In any case, this beauty was renovated in 2003 so the interior does have a modern feel. But it is very classy and charming…

The realtor suggests uses such as “a multi-generational family compound, or smart vacation rental investment property”.

Reportedly, this close-to-seaside property fetches $100,000+ in rental income during the summer months!

Kudos to the anonymous sea captain who built this house for his wife. I’m sure her boat never strayed far from the harbor.
