Bones: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)



Bones is one of most popular medical drama shows to date. Most people who aren’t huge fans of the show are at least aware of the fact that it has been airing for quite a while now, but a good amount of people don’t know some of the facts that we’re going to share with you today. Number Fifteen: Bones Is Based on a Real Person

The series itself is based on a real person that is still currently alive. The person shares the exact same name as the character that is portrayed. They, like the character, works at the Jeffersonian.

Number Fourteen: Its Show Victims Become Writers

Well, this is at least the case for one of the writers of the show. Dean Lopata was first introduced into the production by playing one of the victims of the show, only to become a writer later on.

Number Thirteen: They Shoot Car Scenes in Weird Way

In the show when they have car scenes, they shoot them in a particular fashion. Instead of shooting the scenes in an actual car, they instead project the images outside of the car in the studio.

Number Twelve: Lunch Is Expensive

The writers and production office on Bones spends more than $500 every day for just lunch. That is quite a lot of money for sandwiches.

Number Eleven: There’s a Squirrel on the Set of Bones

On the set of Bones, there is an actual pet squirrel on the set. His name is Dr. Sweets, which is the same name as one of the beloved characters on the show who died.

Number Ten: The Bone Room Is Very Bony

One of the things that Bones has become known for is its Bone Room. It has been reported that there are approximately 1520 bones in the whole room. That’s enough bones to make up about 7 human beings!

Number Nine: Five Dollar Days Are a Thing

On the set there is something known as the Five Dollar Day. On this day, anyone on the set can putĀ a five dollar bill inside the bucket. At the end of the day, names are pulled, and the person whose name is drawn gets the cash. There are even more facts about this awesome show that many people don’t know about.
