Arnold Schwarzenegger: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)



Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most recognizable names and people of his generation. The 68-year-old may have been around the block a few times, but he’s still going strong. However, despite the fact that Schwarzenegger has spent a considerable amount of time in the spotlight and under the scrutiny of the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know. With that in mind, here we present our list of 15 things you probably didn’t know about Arnold Schwarzenegger. Check out part one below, and stay tuned for part two, coming soon!

Number Fifteen: He Is a Bit of a Razzie Superstar. Since 1983, Schwarzenegger has been nominated for a worst actor Razzie for his roles in Conan the Barbarian, Last Action Hero, and End of Days. He has also been nominated for the worst supporting actor Razzie for Around the World in 80 Days, Batman & Robin, and The 6th Day.

Number Fourteen: He Likes Sex as a Workout. Tom Arnold, who worked with Schwarzenegger for the film True Lies, revealed that Schwarzenegger likes having sex up to five times a day – both as a fun activity and a way to get a good workout.

Number Thirteen: He Was on a Dating Reality Show. Schwarzenegger appeared on The New Dating Game in 1973. He was introduced as Mr. Olympia and former Mr. Universe, and he had a great time listing off his measurements for his potential female suitors.

Number Twelve: He Spent a Week in Prison…in Austria. Schwarzenegger went to prison in Austria because he left the service so he could compete in the Junior Mr. Europe competition. However, he was only there for one week.

Number Eleven: He Was the First American to Own a Humvee. Schwarzenegger flew to Indiana to buy the first two Humvees available for public purchase. He had to convince the manufacturer to sell them to him, as Humvees were originally a military vehicle.

Number Ten: He Broke Into Local Gyms. Schwarzenegger was so dedicated to working out and lifting weights that on the weekends – when gyms were closed – he would break into local gyms just so he could get his workout in.

Number Nine: He Was an Illegal Immigrant. According to a law firm, Schwarzenegger may have violated his initial visa. His track from potential illegal immigrant to the governor of California truly is impressive.
